We are one of the largest accredited community living organizations in Ontario providing services through a variety of programs in the Barrie, Orillia and surrounding areas. We are currently recruiting for a PROGRAM FACILITATOR.  Using a family centered, collaborative approach to service delivery, this role will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the Agency's Ontario Early Years Centres located in Barrie/Innisfil or Bradford. This includes providing age appropriate programming for children ages 0-6, parent education and resources including information and referrals. This is a permanent full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week for 10 months of the year. Position includes occasional evenings and Saturdays.


  • Community college diploma in E.C.E., or a relevant course of study or acceptable equivalency as determined by the employer;
  • Individuals registered with the college of ECE will be given preference;
  • Recent relevant experience working with children and families;
  • Knowledge of community resources for parents and children;
  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills;
  • Current First Aid/C.P.R. and NVCI Certificates are an asset;
  • Knowledge of French language is an asset;
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation is required;

 Duties and responsibilities:  (including, but not limited to) 

  • Planning and implementing weekly programs that will foster children's cognitive, social and emotional development and include parents/caregivers in the delivery;
  • Prepare a program that outlines age appropriate activities for early learning including crafts, circle, table toy and dramatic play areas;
  • Implement developmental screening with families;
  • Promote positive interactions between parents/caregivers and children;
  • Making recommendations in the method of program delivery;
  • Participate in community events as appropriate;
  • Understanding and implementing all policies and procedures of the Agency and legislative requirements;
